Moogsoft Strengthens Leadership Team with New CFO Appointment

SAN FRANCISCO — Oct. 6, 2020 — Moogsoft, the AI-driven observability leader, today announced that it has added critical talent to its leadership team with the appointment of Matteo Marchetta as Chief Financial Officer. Marchetta will be responsible for helping the company to achieve its short- and long-term business objectives, and for enabling its continued growth at a crucial time of democratization and scale in the observability market.

Marchetta brings to Moogsoft over 20 years of experience as a financial executive for both B2B and B2C companies, and a background in strategic consulting. His previous experience includes roles at companies ranging from startups to global organizations in the SaaS, enterprise and digital healthcare markets. Most recently he was CFO at Augmedix, where he led the company through high double-digit revenue growth. Prior to that, he was VP, Finance for Altiscale Cloud Platform at SAP.

“Matteo’s broad experience is a perfect match to support the progress we have made disrupting the legacy enterprise monitoring market with our new self-service, highly scalable enterprise-class monitoring and observability platform,” said Moogsoft Founder and CEO Phil Tee. “During this quarter we reached profitability, committed to our cloud-first architecture and set our sights on a path of continued growth and investment in our SaaS platform. Matteo’s arrival could not be better timed for us and for the critical state of the observability market.

“During the interview process we met at our favorite coffee shop and Matteo was quick to understand the value of being able to start managing complex digital infrastructure in less than the time it takes to make a cappuccino,” quipped Tee.

“I am excited by the traction that Moogsoft has made in democratizing the cutting-edge data science methods of AIOps and observability,” said Marchetta. “In my former roles, I have been able to lead distributed teams around the globe to deliver double-digit revenue growth, and I look forward to leveraging those skills as a catalyst for Moogsoft’s growth.”
